COVER STORY: Terrie Williams (A Personal Touch)
By Jean Nash Wells

Because of the way she personalizes the internal struggle many people face, whether they are in offices, the classrooms or their own living rooms. Terrie received 2,000 responses to that article.

A Shepherd's Corner - Reginald T. Jackson
By Rev. Jackson Pastor of St. Matthew A.M.E. Church, Orange, NJ
and Executive Director of the Black Ministers Council of New Jersey

There is no more challenging or immediate crisis that faces African Americans in this country, and specifically in New Jersey than the crisis that faces African American families. Yet, among African Americans this most important unit is almost becoming obsolete as we used to know it.

FROM THE HEART: My Aloha Family
By Rosemary Sinclair

Editorial
By Jean Nash Wells

It’s autumn, my favorite time of year. Unlike many, I do not mourn the loss of the heat and humidity of summer. Fall is a time for comfort foods shared with family and friends – homemade soup and warm crusty bread fresh from the oven.

THE WAY AHEAD: Millions More Movement
By Mwandikaji K. Mwanafunzi

The Million Man March of 1995 was of God, and we can no more repeat it at will, than could the ancient nation of Israel repeat the parting of the Red Sea. We can, however, commemorate what God did, as when ancient Israel erected a monument near the Jordan River to remind their progeny how God had facilitated their passing.
